Coming ashore

Operating for more than 115 years, Dory Boats out of Pacific City, Oregon are one of the last beach-launched commercial and recreational fishing fleets on the West Coast. Trucks back the trailered boats straight into the ocean surf to launch, and then they slide back onto the sand to land. Dories are open-hulled, flat-bottomed boats designed to launch through surf.
